Kia ora, I'm Donna, the maker behind Crafty Larder, a home-grown creative venture specialising in handmade clay jewellery and unique gifts.  Behind the brand is me - a proud mum of four adult children from our blended family-and a lifelong maker with a love for all things creative.  Alongside me is my wonderful husband, who has supported and encouraged my creative journey every step of the way.

My journey began in the kitchen as a chef, where creativity and presentation inspired me to explore food as an artform.  When my children were born, I transitioned into cake decorating, combining skill and imagination to make beautiful edible creations.  Over the years, I balanced family life with roles in management and office administration, while still finding time for crafts like cardmaking, sewing and decoupage - which led me to begin selling at local craft markets.

While completing my diploma in Business Management and Leadership, I discovered polymer clay.  What started as curiosity quickly became a passion - my new creative obsession and true calling.  I love experimenting with colours, textures and techniques to create unique clay jewellery and gifts that bring a little beauty and joy into everyday life.

Today, Crafty Larder is my way of sharing that passion with others.  You'll find me back at local markets around the Manawatu, creating artisan, handmade treasures for those that appreciate pieces crafted with care and heart.
